I purposely don't go into a play-by-play of the conversations because there is a lot of backstory to understand the crux of the problems, conversations and jokes that followed. I will share that I was the only black person on an otherwise all-white board that was supposed to represent a large, diverse group of people, but when the topic of inclusivity was discussed, it became clear that (some of) the board members were not interested in actual inclusivity.
